As we look forward to end-of-year graduations, promotions, and other special events across our schools, we’d like to kindly ask everyone to be mindful of our neighbors by showing courtesy and respect to those who live near our campuses. Your thoughtfulness helps create a positive experience not just for our school communities, but for the broader neighborhoods as well.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain safe, welcoming environments for all students, families, staff, and guests. We look forward to celebrating these special milestones together.

Please keep the following reminders in mind whenever visiting our school sites:

  • Arrive early and plan ahead: Please check event times and details in advance to ensure a timely arrival and a more enjoyable experience. Arriving early and planning ahead also helps keep our school community safe, respectful, and running smoothly.

  • Parking: We understand that parking can be limited during busy school events, so we kindly ask everyone to be thoughtful and considerate. Please park only in designated spaces, follow all posted signage and instructions, and avoid blocking driveways or access points. Arrive early and plan ahead to help keep our community safe and respectful. Carpooling is encouraged when possible.

  • Dogs and other animals are not permitted on school grounds, except as authorized (e.g., service animals, police dogs, and animals for instructional purposes as specified in NMUSD Board Policy 6163.2).

  • Bicycles, eBikes, scooters, and skateboards may not be ridden on school grounds at any time. We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep our campuses safe and welcoming for everyone during these special events. We also encourage all riders to be courteous and respectful to our neighboring community when traveling to and from campus.

  • Alcohol, tobacco, and other prohibited substances are strictly prohibited on all school property.

  • Please use crosswalks and designated sidewalks during arrival, dismissal, and special events. Be mindful of increased foot and vehicle traffic during event times.

These reminders align with expectations outlined in our board policy, administrative regulations, and parent and student handbooks, and are intended to support a safe and respectful school environment.

We appreciate your partnership in helping ensure a positive, safe, and joyful conclusion to the school year. Thank you for celebrating responsibly and for helping us create memorable experiences for all students and families.
