A VAPA Experience
The ACE program is an arts based curriculum that infuses the arts into social science, math, science, language arts, and world language. Through an identified pathway and project based learning, each course will involve special projects, a focus of study, and performances that relate the arts to the school’s core curriculum. Additionally, students select and identify a focus in visual and/or performing arts. The uniqueness of ACE is defined by the following characteristics:
- College visitations with a focus on art educational opportunities
- Project based field trips
- Identified pathways of study based from student interest
- Performances in CMHS Performing Arts Center, art gallery showings, vocal music, dance, drama, instrumental, and theater technology
- The new theatre arts building provides state-of-the-art theater, dance, choir, and music facilities. The CMHS Madrigal choir has performed at Segerstrom Hall and Carnegie Hall.
