All Costa Mesa High School-Middle School Students will be prepared, upon graduation, to excel in the college and/or career of their choice.


Costa Mesa High School-Middle School is a school of excellence that
continually empowers students to become high achieving, productive,
responsible, and successful members of society through a nurturing
environment while working in collaboration with the entire school

Costa Mesa HS/MS Students will be:

 1. Confident communicators who

  • read and comprehend information from a variety of sources
  • listen actively, and articulate ideas clearly in writing and speech
  • express themselves artistically
  • use technology in an ethical manner to communicate and to enrich their learning

2. Problem solvers who

  • gather, analyze, and interpret information
  • predict, define, and solve problems using a variety of approaches
  • ask and answer complex questions
  • demonstrate the ability to set and achieve goals

3. Active citizens who

  • practice self discipline, display a positive work ethic, and make healthy choices
  • pursue post-secondary opportunities for college or career
  • understand and exercise the rights and responsibilities of citizenship in our democracy
  • participate effectively in groups and with people from various cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • demonstrate a commitment to community service
