This Week's "CAUGHT in the ACT"
The Marching Band Percussion Section!

Our awesome percussion section is this week's "Caught in the Act".  Whether the battery or the pit - this year's group has put in the extra work and it has really paid off.  They have arranged extra sectionals throughout the season and really worked well as a team.  Of course they have their fearless leader, drum coach Alex Bostelman, who has really worked hard to nurture a positive approach and a good work ethic for the group.  Congrats to the percussionists on winning two "high percussion" awards this marching band season from the judges as well!  GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

Percussion section earns "High Percussion Award" at the CSBC Westminster show!

Drumline at OC Book Fair

This Week's "Caught in the Act" was difficult as there were so many great students doing great things.  I once again chose our Drumline members - Sean, Markie, David, Caitlyn, Evan, Skyler & Brendan.  Even though many of us were very tired after the long day with UCLA at the Rose Bowl,  these dedicated students represented MESA by being a part of the Orange County Book Fair at OCC on Sunday.  They devoted 4 hours towards their community by playing and drawing attention towards a part of the Book Fair that the organizers wanted people to check out.  The Book Fair was a great event and the drumline got lots of compliments on how positively they performed to their audience  I even had two CMHS alums with their own kids come and give me "woohoos" on the group.  Thank you so much for representing our program so well!
