CSF Application Membership Drive now OPEN! Applications due to Mrs. Gonzalez (counseling office) by Nov. 16th.

Attention 11th and 12 graders :

It's time to apply for CSF (California Scholarship Federation)  !!!!!

CSF Membership

The California Scholarship Federation is an honors society that recognizes high academic achievement. Membership in our organization signifies excellence in academic achievement.

In order to become a member, student’s grades 10th-12th must submit an application at the beginning of each semester reflecting the previous semester’s grades.  To secure eligibility for California Scholastic Federation membership, a student must earn sufficient points from the pre-approved course list. Late applications are not accepted and there is no retroactive membership. Applications must be submitted to the CSF advisor before the deadline.

To achieve Life Membership/ CSF Sealbearer status one must qualify for a total of 4 semesters, one semester from sophomore year (spring), two semesters in the junior year and one semester from the senior year. Students who meet this qualification will earn the CSF Gold Seal on their diploma and wear a gold sash during the graduation ceremony.  These students are also eligible to apply for additional scholarships.

Who can apply now for CSF?

Current 11th and 12th graders can now apply using grades from SPRING SEMESTER (2018).

Students must reapply each semester, using grades from the previous semester.

What is required to be a member?

Students need a total of ten (10) points based on the list of courses offered at their school. A minimum of seven (7) of the ten points must be from Lists I and II courses, with four (4) of these points from List I. The additional three points may be from List III. Students may use up to five courses (25 credits) to apply for membership. However, a D or an F in any subject, even if not being used for CSF points, disqualifies the student for that semester. Good citizenship is also a membership requirement. The approved courses are listed on the back of the CSF application.

Why should I apply?

Qualifying for CSF allows students to apply for special awards and scholarships.

CSF senior Seal Bearer's are able to wear a special sash and sit in the front row during the high school commencement ceremony in June.

CSF is a wonderful addition to a student's resume and college applications.

CSF is an honor, and is awarded to students with exemplary performance in high school academics and attention to community service.

How do I do it?

**Download the attached application and the CSF approved course list or (pick up one in the counseling office) and return it to Mrs. Gonzalez (counseling office). Once reviewed and approved by advisor, student will take application to ASB window to pay $5 CSF fee. Seniors pay $15.
