What is Freshman Priority Registration (FPR)?

The Freshma​​​n Priority Registration (FPR) Program is for First Time College students attending community college. These programs provide students the opportunity to receive an early registration date ensuring they get the classes they want and need! Check-out the info provided below for specifics at each college!

 


Orange Coast College | complete steps 1-5 by May 5th

Complete steps 2-5 by attending a one-day Fast Forward event. Reserve your spot by filling-out this online form!

  1. Apply Online

  2. Online Orientation on myocc account

  3. Complete this online Placement Form

  4. Verify English & Math Placement [Allow several days after submitting placement form]

    • Log-in to your myocc account

      • Click on the "Student" tab

      • Click on "Unofficial Transcript" in the center of the page.

      • When the Unofficial Transcript is opened, look at the PLACEMENT RESULTS section for your the classes you are eligible to take.

    • If you are not happy with your placement or you did not received placement you will need to go to OCC for walk-in assessment testing.

  6. Register for Classes on myocc

    • Highly recommended to attend FPR Workshop to get help registering online!!

 


Golden West College | complete steps 1-3 by April 30th

Complete steps 4 & 5 below by attending a FPR workshop (May 8-10.) Reserve your spot by filling-out this quick survey!

  1. Apply Online

  2. Online Orientation on mygwc account

  3. Placement

    • Log-in to your mygwc account

      • Click on the "Student" tab

      • Click on "Unofficial Transcript" in the center of the page.

      • When the Unofficial Transcript is opened, look at the PLACEMENT RESULTS section for your the classes you are eligible to take.

    • If you are not happy with your placement or you did not received placement you will need to go to GWC for walk-in assessment testing.

Coastline Community College | deadlines vary

Steps vary depending on the program you are planning on joining (STAR, College Promise, etc.)

  4. Assessment Test on Coastline's Fountain Valley Campus

  5. Register for Classes on myccc

 


Irvine Valley College | complete steps 1-4 by April 13th

  1. Apply Online

  2. Online Orientation

  3. Assessment Test at IVC

  4. Online or Group Advisement (Student Education Plan)

  5. Register for classes on mysite
