The Good Times Rolled on our trip to New Orleans

The Costa Mesa & Huntington Beach Band students and parents had a great trip to New Orleans this spring!  We certainly got to embrace all of the sights, sounds and tastes of "The Big Easy"!  So much history and culture in New Orleans to take in, from The French Quarter to a Plantation, from Preservation Hall to a swamp on the bayou, from the mighty Mississippi on a steamboat to the incredible array of Jazz Music the city is known for.

Coin Wars Competition Was Good For Everyone

It was another exciting year of COIN WARS at band camp all week.  Strategies of how much money to put in the various section jars & when, and who to sabotage varied from section to section.  In the end the Clarinet/Flute Section prevailed with the highest total!  Great job to all of the sections.  Special thanks to Yvette Calendar for organizing & implementing this fundraiser ! Monies raised will go back to social events for the Marching Band !
