Costa Mesa H.S. / M.S. Instrumental Music
DARE MIGHTY THINGS
The Costa Mesa High School Instrumental Music Department is made up of Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, Advanced Band, Marching Band, Color Guard, Jazz Band, Drum Line and Small Ensemble student groups ranging from 7th to 12th grade. The goal of the program is to provide a quality program for each level that uses the state music education standards and performing opportunities to enhance each student's experience.

Color Guard wins at Arlington Show, 4th in Championships
The CMHS Color Guard put out an awesome performance at Arlington High School on Saturday, April 13th, earning 1st place. The color guard has never looked better and did an awesome job at the Championships! Thank all of you who helped us run the Championships here at Costa Mesa High School on the 20th. It was a great event and we really appreciate all of the work you did to make the event a success!
Jazz Band to play at Mayor's Celebration at Samueli Theater
The CMHS Jazz Band, along with the CMHS Madrigal Choir, will be performing at The Mayor's Celebration, The Art of Leadership" event on thursday, April 25th at the Samueli Theater at the Segerstrom Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa. The gala will have a Beatle's theme and will raise money for Costa Mesa H.S. & Estancia H.S.
BOX TOP FUNDRAISER for all CMHS Band & Color Guard Members!
We are continuing the Box Top Fundraiser and are asking everyone to bring in their box tops and deposit them in the Box Top Box in the front of Mrs. Gilboe's office in the band room. What an easy fundraiser for the band to earn money! Thanks to Mrs. LeValley for running it. Now Everyone BRING IN YOUR BOX TOPS !!!!

How Can I Help ??? CONTRIBUTIONS !!!
The CMHS/MS Band Program cannot exist without parent contributions. Here are some of the ways in which YOU can contribute:
1. Donate money to the program. (ex. an instrument averages over $300 per instrument)
2. Donate your talents. (ex. welder, seamstress, business connections, fundraising ideas, etc.)
3. Help at events. (ex. chaperone an event, take donations at concerts, help with concessions, work tournaments)
4. Support your student! (ex. come to the concerts/events and support your students and the program)
