Costa Mesa H.S. / M.S. Instrumental Music
The Costa Mesa High School Instrumental Music Department is made up of Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, Advanced Band, Marching Band, Color Guard, Jazz Band, Drum Line and Small Ensemble student groups ranging from 7th to 12th grade. The goal of the program is to provide a quality program for each level that uses the state music education standards and performing opportunities to enhance each student's experience.

SOUNDS OF THE SEASON HOLIDAY CONCERT - DECEMBER 5th, 2013
Join the Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, Marching Band & Color Guard at our "Sounds of the Season" holiday concert. The concert will usher in the holiday season with seasonable selections that are sure to please. The concert will be held in the CMHS Lyceum. Doors open @ 6:45pm. Donations will be taken at the door. Refreshments will be sold.

Thanks to all of the Marching Band members for all of your hard work this season! You really improved and performed well and I am very proud of you all. Let's take all we learned this season and use it to propel us into future success! Thanks as well to all of the parents, family members and alumni who helped out in so many ways to help us reach our "Emerald City". You are all awesome !

Thank you all for all of your help with our 27th Annual South Coast Invitational Marching Band Tournament. Thank you so much to those who spent hours setting up and cleaning up the event ! Thank you to those who worked the event and donated items that helped our tournament run smoothly. A big thanks to alumni Chris Henrriquez, Monique Nguyen, Edwin Quevedo & Carlos Perez who helped us out that evening as well. There were several parents who put in so much effort- you are wonderful ! Thank you to Janice Walker, Ally Amaya & Jesse Castro for all of your planning and shopping ! Thank you to Michael Collier, our wonderful announcer for the event. A big special thanks to Booster President Mariel LeValley for all of her work organizing, setting up and cleaning up the event. She works tirelessly for our program. You are awesome Mariel! BOX TOP FUNDRAISER for all CMHS Band & Color Guard Members!
We are continuing the Box Top Fundraiser and are asking everyone to bring in their box tops and deposit them in the Box Top Box in the front of Mrs. Gilboe's office in the band room. What an easy fundraiser for the band to earn money! Thanks to Mrs. LeValley for running it. Now Everyone BRING IN YOUR BOX TOPS !!!!

How Can I Help ??? CONTRIBUTIONS !!!
The CMHS/MS Band Program cannot exist without parent contributions. Here are some of the ways in which YOU can contribute:
1. Donate money to the program. (ex. an instrument averages over $300 per instrument)
2. Donate your talents. (ex. welder, seamstress, business connections, fundraising ideas, etc.)
3. Help at events. (ex. chaperone an event, take donations at concerts, help with concessions, work tournaments)
4. Support your student! (ex. come to the concerts/events and support your students and the program)
