Delta Mission

The DELTA program is a math/science/technology based pathway that enhances students learning experiences at Costa Mesa Middle/High School. This mission is established to guide them through the pathway and on to further their education.

Delta Academy

What is Delta?

The Delta Signature Academy provides exceptional rigor for students interested in pursuing careers in the fields of science, math, and engineering. The Delta academy is an enhanced math, science, and engineering program that introduces students to project-based learning and post-secondary educational opportunities. The uniqueness of Delta is defined by the following characteristics:
 
Rigor in science and math through course expectations, lab reports, projects, and course sequence
 
College visitations with a focus on STEM educational opportunities and school of engineering
 
Project based field trips, STEM career emphasis
 
Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Sequential Curriculum
 
The Delta Signature Academy enables students to explore career technical education (CTE) by heightening “real life” experiences, offering early exposure to top universities, and using cutting edge curriculum, information, and technology.

Additional Requirements/Information:

 

•Students must participate in Science Fair

•Students must receive an A or B in coursework

•Students must maintain overall GPA of 3.0

•Students must NOT receive an "N" or "U" for citizenship

•Students must receive an A or B in honors coursework

•Students must receive at least a 75% in AP coursework

•Students must maintain overall GPA of 3.0

•Students must NOT receive an "N" or "U" for citizenship
